The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR)
Today over one million women have committed to the mission.

The New Mexico Daughters of the
American Revolution welcomes you!
The NMSODAR is a non-profit, non-political women’s service organization composed of 690 members, full of energy and enthusiasm, organized into 16 chapters located throughout the Land of Enchantment.
The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is the nation’s oldest women’s service organization. Membership is open to women who are lineally descended from those who contributed to the cause of American independence—whether through military service, civil support, or patriotic aid—during the Revolutionary War. Nationally, our membership includes over 190,000 women who honor their heritage through service.
New Mexico's story is deeply woven into the fabric of the American Revolution. In the late 1700s, the Spanish presidio in Santa Fe played a strategic role as Spain joined the conflict against Great Britain. Under Governor Bernardo de Gálvez, financial support was given, aiding the American fight for independence. The sacrifices and contributions of Spanish America - especially those of the New Mexico Territory - are part of the broader revolutionary story we are proud to honor.

As we look ahead to America's Semiquincentennial in 2026, marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, we are excited to celebrate our nation's founding. NMSODAR is engaged in programs and projects to commemorate this event.
Are you 18 years or older? Is there a Revolutionary War patriot - or perhaps a Spanish contributor to the cause for independence - in your family tree? Membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution honors and preserves that legacy.
Thank you for your interest in our organization. With a proud past and a purpose-filled present, NMSODAR continues to thrive and serve today. We invite you to explore our website to learn more.
We would love to have you join us!
Yours in DAR Service,
Deborah Robb, State Regent
